Clearly tell this a time share hotel. Parking was not good. people smoking while hanging out in the chairs directly in front of check in. Not enough luggage racks . Our whole floor smelled like weed every day.

Check-in process was frustrating. Parking is limited. There was trash in my room left from a previous guest. They advertise a beach shuttle but make sure if you’re not getting picked up at a specific time that you call early, they don’t always answer the phone or check their voicemail. Then when the front desk employee finally picked up the phone, she said another couple had just called and she’d pick me up next, and while I was still talking she hung up on me so I ended up just walking back. My last day there, another employee tried to make me squeeze onto the shuttle with another couple, I said everyone else has made us ride separately and I don’t mind waiting, she said ok, but then when she got back she said she had to hand wash a huge stack of dishes before we left?! The beach chair they gave me was dirty and the pillow had black mold growing on it. The breakfast was ok but it starts late at 0800. Happy hour includes things like Natural Light beer. It’s a bit dingy, grimy, and rundown; my bathroom shelf was totally falling off the wall. There’s like no counter space either. There was a lot of accumulated filth around the door etc. (pics). The alarm clock just wasn’t plugged in which was weird and annoying, why even leave it there with no accessible plug? They use the super cheap, single-use motel toiletries so I’d bring your own. You can hear everything in the hallways and people just stood outside my room talking. I would not stay here again or recommend staying here.

We loved our stay from the time we entered the doors to the time we left. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner one night and had breakfast at the Swamp Fox restaurant on premise and the food was delicious. We had the breakfast buffet and the fruit was amazing. Each evening there was a piano player playing music in the lobby that enriched the ambiance. The lobby was gorgeous and makes you feel like you were living in the 1920s. The location is close to shopping, parks, coffee shops, museums, and a short walk to the French Quarters.

Beautiful views very clean and can’t wait to get back

As an international traveler with 30+ years of experience in the ground-up hotel business, I know what to expect globally. America is often known for its poor food culture especially its heavy breakfasts and unhealthy choices. However, compared to similar Hilton properties or other international chains in Europe and around the world, I have never seen such a lack of quality across breakfast, lunch, and dinner as I did here. The rooftop bar and restaurant atmosphere was beautifully designed and offered a very nice vibe, but the food itself was highly disappointing and vastly overpriced for the miniature portions. We paid $110 USD for two tiny chicken cutlets, a side of greens, and two beers truly ridiculous for that price and portion size. Additionally, housekeeping failed to make our rooms and beds. Yet, despite all of these operational flaws, the hotel has an undeniable appeal, and we would still choose to stay here again anytime.
